We've arrived at home and are safe and sound.

Almost no damage. I stopped often on the way to check on everything with the trailer and boat. But when we arrived in Canada (Windsor), I found the port trailer light hanging off. I was not really suprised, even though I had stopped at the Welcome Center in Michigan and had found everything to be fine.
I-75 was so bouncy, it felt like a washboard the whole way to Detroit. It was like the distance between my rear tires and the trailer tires was the imperfect spot and we bounced all the way to Detroit. I-75 is in pretty bad condition, I tried each lane with the same bouncing motion. I am glad I only had 80 or so kms to do in Michigan.
For the record, I am not the only one to notice the poor road conditions in Michigan. The rest of I-75 is fantastic all the way from Florida. :-)
Word to the wiser: if you have a trailer, avoid I-75 in Michigan.
