So, Saturday we had a great time with the kids and the boat.

We anchored on the beach in maybe 1 foot of water...fantastic.
I am using the boat in powerboat mode, as I am still sorting through the rigging. Well, updating it as many parts are rusted and I am changing them so that the mast doesnt crash on us.
Anyways, so my hatch was opened with that small connector and my son, was walking on the boat, and lost his balance and leaned on the opened hatch. Needless to say the hinge gave way...actually, as you see, it is the fiberglass that gave way.

So, I think, my plan is using Elmers exterior wood filler to fill the cavity and make it strong.
I will let you know on how I finally decide to fix this. Any input appreciated too!
