Some people have asked me why I am blogging about our Cruising Dream. Perhaps, these?
- To make money
- To become famous
- Start a speaking circuit
- Run for Prime Minister
Our reasons are much more simpler than these, really simply:
- To document, and help make progress towards our dream Documenting our progress makes it real for us, and forces us to make progress everyday towards our dream.
- Learn and make contacts through the online cruising community I love the internet. My father once told me something that stuck with me forever:
- To keep us honest I remember a friend of mine, could never stop smoking, until he decided to publicize it to everyone he knew, I guess his ego and peer pressure helped him succeed. He knew this and he used it to his advantage. While the scenario is quite different, writing about it and keeping a log, keeps us honest about progressing on our dream.
"You can learn and do anything you want".
Now sometimes, I seriously think that I misunderstood what he said to be "Learn everything and do everything". I am a little boy, insatiable, that loves to learn and do everything. But back to the subject, I always found that the interweb does allow us limitless possibility of knowledge, but also, allows us to connect to like minded people so easily..
