Seeds for Cruising Dream (part 2)

In my previous post, I covered how I came to like sailing but still had the cruising bug.

So, I could never do it...leave...instead, I relegated myself to becoming an armchair cruiser. Just because circumstances dictated it. I have travelled everywhere on this planet through books (which I will list in another post).

Blogs, kept simmering my desire though. Many years ago (early 2000s?) I read a blog everyday about this cruising couple from Galveston (Houston), Texas that sailed around the world in a Westsail 32 I believe.

For the life of me, I cannot find the blog anymore, but will update when I find it.

More recently, crazys from Canada (like us) did the same. Mike and Rebecca of the blog Zero to Cruising from Kingston cast off the lines to cruise. I want to say THANKS Mike & Rebecca, you are truly an inspiration!

Zero To Cruising

I even met them doing Jiu-Jitsu a while back! Cant wait to see you guys one day on the water one day!

There's also these guys at The Trawler Beach House that also inspire us.

The Trawler Beach House
As you can see, even though, I love sailing, I am quite torn about the sailboat vs trawler, not to even mention multihulls.  I will have a lot more discussion about these topics ahead as we go through our boat selection. Stay tuned!
