What woman wants, God wants

From the old French expression "Ce que femme veut, Dieu veut". Apparently because women in the old days would claim that God had spoken to them to ask them for whatever...maybe another child, etc!

Yesterday was Victoria Day for us! Yay! Whatever, its a day off..  :-)

So, we decided to go see two different types of boat we are interested in.

For the sailboat side, as you may remember, I am very interested in Center Cockpits as they offers some kind of separation and nice space layout. So we looked at an Irwin 32.5 CC.

Irwin 32.5 Center Cockpit

It's pretty impressive for its size, nice galley, nice aft cabin. Not a lot of hanging locker storage, but this could easily be resolved.  I like it a lot, my wife was okay with it, but felt a little cramped...Understood.

Next visit, now for something completely different. (did I mention that I first learnt my English from watching Monty Python?)...I digress again.

So, next up, was a Marine Trader 34 Double Cabin trawler.

Do I need to finish this post? You know exactly where we are headed! :-D

It actually make sense for us, I really like the likeability of it. I would need an Irwin 37 CC or similar to match that size...and 37 starts to be too big for my liking, maintenance, and outfitting.

With a sailboat, we would end up having to motor down most of the ICW anyways...so, yes I am rationalizing it, but I am comfortable with narrowing to that search. Do read the BoatUS review linked above, actually written by one of the blogs I follow, the Trawler Beach House.

And so, the search begins.
